GFWC Connecticut (GFWC/CT)
The General Federation of Women's Clubs of Connecticut currently has 47 clubs in the state. New clubs are always welcome. Please contact GFWC/CT for information about clubs in your area. The 2012-2014 state project of GFWC/CT is to support Applied Behavioral Rehabilitation Institute (ABRI) which encompasses Homes for the Brave, the Waldorf House, and Female Soldiers;Forgotten Heroes. These facilities offer housing to homeless veterans. GFWC/CT and its member clubs have collaborated on issues with the CT Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the CT Permanent Commission on the Status of Women. GFWC/CT motto: We are not known so much by what we keep, but by what we share. |
GFWC is an international organization with clubs in all 50 states and 20 countries. Headquartered in an historic building in Washington, DC, the organization promotes volunteerism and is distinguished by the breadth of its outreach.
Programs span all areas of the lives of members; art, conservation,education, home life, and international affairs as well as our signature project of domestic vise folence awareness. GFWC motto: Unity in Diversity |
