History
The GFWC Woman's Club of Enfield has over the years sponsored
projects that resulted in the purchase of an ambulance in WWII, the Old Town
Restoration fund, Fidelco Guide Dogs, Literacy Volunteers,and Connecticut Canine
Search and Rescue. Since 1966, it also has hosted an award winning High School
Arts Festival that encompasses all schools in the town-elementary and high
school. We are a nondenominational, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) community service organization. Members have volunteered thousands of hours of their time to help the town, state, and
country. As a member of GFWC, the Woman's Club of Enfield is part of one of the largest
women's service organizations in the world. Our motto is "True culture leads to sweetness and light".
